The two LBT 8.4m primary mirrors side by side in the Mirror Lab. LBT2 is
facedown in the handling ring in the foreground, and LBT1 is faceup on the
polishing cell in the background. Both mirrors are in the casting lab due
to construction activities in the polishing lab this month. (The dots on
LBT1 are paper fiducials to calibrate the distortion in the test optics.
The dots on LBT2 are the ventilation holes in the backplate of the mirror
sealed with silicone in preparation for generating.)
