The Large
Binocular Telescope Observatory (LBTO) is looking for a Support
Systems Analyst/Software Release Manager for the Telescope Control
System (TCS). The TCS for the LBT is a distributed, object-oriented,
software system running on Linux and implemented in C++. The TCS is
currently in an advanced prototyping phase, with first production
release scheduled for the summer of 2004. We require a Software
Release Manager who will take the lead role in implementing and
managing a formal process for testing and releasing the TCS
software.
* Build new
releases of the TCS software.
* Ensure that automated tests are successfully passed.
* Tag and track software releases in the CVS configuration
management system.
* Manage the software fault tracking system.
* Improve the prototype process and finalize it for production.
* Assist in the implementation of automated testing.
Associate's
degree in Computer Science or related field AND four years of
systems and/or programming experience; OR, Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science or related field AND three years of systems and/or
programming experience; OR,
five years of systems and/or programming experience; OR, any
equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
