July 9: Fire is low intensity; Governor talks with residents and community leaders

Community Meeting: Friday, July 9
The Southwest Area Incident Management Team will host a community meeting Friday in the gymnasium of Ruth Powell School, located at 1041 14th Ave. (Map)
The meeting will begin at 6 PM.  Fire personnel will provide the latest information and perimeter maps on for the Nuttall Complex.

Governor Napolitano to tour fire sites, talk to residents: Article from the Arizona Republic (PDF format)

Update from John Ratje:
It is drizzling on site right now. The fire activity, other than the back firing in progress, is very low intensity. Governor Napolitano's visit to Safford is scheduled for this evening. Congressman Renzi will visit with cabin owners tomorrow (July 10) around noon.
